David McPherson is flying high on Billy Bishop

World Equestrian Games rider David McPherson took the top spot in yesterdays Grand Prix out in Drammen. David, who is currently based in Maidstone, Kent partnered Billy Bishop a horse he jointly owns with Elmgestut 'Drei Eichen' GMbH.

David jumped a clean round but picked up one time fault along with two other riders. With no riders managing to jump the first round clear the three combinations that finished on one time fault apiece were called up to jump off. Knowing his competition David opted for a steady clear which proved to be the right decision as the other two riders which made it through to the jump off both had a fence down leaving David and Billy Bishop in prime position and taking their share of the 31,800€.
