Daniella Johnston takes the 1.25m Restricted Rider Championship

The National 1.25m Restricted Rider Championship which took place in the Castle Arena at the NAF Five Star British Showjumping Championships earlier today at Bolesworth saw a field of thirty-nine combinations come forward in the hope of winning the title for 2020.

It was Daniella Johnston, from Gainsborough who claimed the eventual win with her 10 year-old bay gelding Elton John II . Their foot-perfect clear in a time of 31.06 seconds was enough to see them forge ahead of the other six combinations that had qualified for the second round.

A fraction of a second behind her, to take 2nd place was Christina Kenyon with Calypso’s Rampant Million with their clear in 31.83 seconds  whilst Emma-Jo Slater took 3rd with Kimba Kasino with their clear in 34.84 seconds.

The NAF Five Star British Showjumping Championships take place between the 3 – 11 August 2020 and further information on the show can be found here  https://bit.ly/3a4cy2Q  and results from all classes here https://bit.ly/2Xzma0M.
