Competition Stallions Guide Now Online

Monday 07 May 2012

The new Competition Stallions guide supported by British Breeding which was launched as a comprehensive print publication at the beginning of 2012, is now available online. The guide brings together stallion pedigrees, progeny information and photographs in an easy to use reference directory.  The guide has been enthusiastically received by both stallion and mare owners.

The online guide can be found at www.competition-stallions.com and includes a full stallion search, by name, discipline, contact and also a keyword search so pedigree can also be searched on. Each stallion has several images available and where supplied, some have video footage. Full contact details for stallion owners are also included.

Advanced features of the online guide include an option to view all stallions at one location making it easy to see what stallions each stud has available.

This comprehensive online guide includes details of around 100 graded and approved competition stallions selected in line with the British Bred Sports Horse stallion eligibility criteria. Owners of graded & approved stallions that are not already listed can be included for this season, online only, with rates starting from £50 per stallion. The listings will remain online until 1st January 2013

Jan Rogers, Head of Equine Development at the BEF said, “Competition Stallions is a guide which sets out to grow year by year and build on its collaboration and cooperation with existing horse world initiatives. It aims to provide a growing base of information for breeders to help them make breeding decisions that are well informed and British Breeding is pleased to be able to offer support as it fits in well with our objectives”.
Competitions Stallions printed Guides will be available from all BEF Futurity events and some stallion parades free of charge for mare owners to collect. Further printed copies can be ordered from the website www.competition-stallions.com for just £10plus p&p.
