Cancellation of the Senior Qualifier Show at Wales & West – 15/09/2020 Update

Further to the announcement made on the 21st August it is with regret that it has not been possible, as had been hoped, to reschedule the following qualifiers:

  • British Horse Feeds Speedi-Beet Grade C Qualifier
  • Equitop GLME Senior Foxhunter Second Round
  • Lord & Lady Equestrian Senior Newcomers Second Round
  • Talent Seekers Qualifier

With this in mind the additional qualifying places will now be extended from the Senior Qualifier Shows as follows:

  • Pyecombe Horse Show (28 – 29 August)
  • Weston Lawns Equitation Show (12 – 13 September)
  • Bicton Arena (12 – 13 September)
  • Royal Highland Show (18 – 20 September)
  • Arena UK (26 – 27 September)

The top ten in each qualifier/second round at the venues above will now qualify for their respective championships due to take place at Aintree Equestrian Centre next month. This is an increase from the eight that qualified originally.

This decision has been made due to there still being no further information available at this point in time in respect of outdoor events in Wales.  British Showjumping are continuing to work closely with all Welsh  Show Organisers, Sport Wales and the Welsh Assembly with an objective of being in a position to introduce equestrian sport back into Wales at the earliest opportunity. Further information will be released as it becomes available.
