BRUCE MENZIES IS OCTOBER SHOW JUMPER OF THE MONTH 2009

Bruce Menzies from Slinfold, Horsham, West Sussex has been voted British Showjumping’s Show Jumper of the Month for October. Following his meteoric rise to fame at the 2009 Horse of the Year Show riding Old Lodge’s 7 year old grey gelding Sultan V to win both the Horse & Hound Foxhunter and HOYS Grade C classes the panel felt the Show Jumper of the Month award was well deserved.

Bruce has ridden the Old Lodge’s home bred gelding throughout his career from British Novice through to this crowning glory to date, but watch this space there is much more to come from this combination.

Patrick Riley of sponsors Zamar TTT said,” There was a very strong field for this years Foxhunter trophy with Bruce and Sultan winning by a fraction, but then to go on and win the Grade C Championship without much trouble has earned Team Menzies this prestigious double!”
