Congratulations to Ben Maher and Jane F Clark for topping the FEI World Ranking Horse/Rider combination list for 2013 with Jane’s incredible grey mare Cella.
Accruing a total of 1718 points through the year saw Ben put GB at the head of the table relegating Germany’s Ludger Beerbaum and Chaman into 2nd place with 1675 points.
Scott Brash and Lord and Hello Sanctos owned by Lord & Lady Harris and Lord & Lady Kirkham finished in 3rd place on 1620 points.
With Great Britain also heading the FEI Rider Ranking list Great Britain have never had so much to celebrate. Scott Brash still sits marginally ahead of Ben Maher as the World No.1 rider, a title he has held since the beginning of the year since jumping ahead of Ben whom had taken the title at the end of 2013 and now sits in 2nd place. The two have been battling head to head in Wellington, Florida recently with some incredible wins and placings, so we will need to see whether positions change on next months ranking list when it is released.
British Showjumping would like to congratulate both Ben Maher and Jane F Clark on their tremendous achievement and for putting Great Britain in such a strong position globally.
