Aroldo is awarded the SPSS Trophy

At the 2010 Pony European Championships which were held at Bishop Burton College, near Beverley, East Yorkshire, The Sports Pony Studbook Society (SPSS) awarded trophies to the highest placed Stallion, Mare and British Bred ponies.  All trophies were presented by Sarah Steggall, SPSS Director and Studbook Manager.
 
Aroldo who partnered 13 year old Emily Roe in the 2010 Pony European Championships was awarded the British Bred SPSS Trophy for Showjumping. Aroldo is a 13 year old British bred grey gelding by Verdi and out of Megan's Gift. Emma Harrison was his breeder.
 
Aroldo is owned by Emily’s father Simon who is based in Lincoln. Emily and Aroldo were members of the 2010 John Whitaker International European Team that finished fifth overall; they were also the second highest placed British rider in the Individual competition. Aroldo was a member of the 2006 European Gold medal winning team with Emily's sister Rebecca.
