Allerton Park in North Yorkshire hosted the annual British Showjuming Area 15 show last weekend. First and second place pick up qualification for the Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) and the top five pick up qualification tickets for the Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival.
It was local rider Paul Barker who dominated the results with a first and third place. Paul rode the six year old bay gelding Lux Fabulous owned by Rosemary Hetherington into first position picking up the HOYS qualification. It was his mothers (Lynn’s) seven year old grey gelding Zandigo that picked up third place qualifying for the Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival.
Splitting Paul’s two rides and taking her second HOYS qualification of the show was eighteen year old Emma Stoker from North Humberside. Having taken second place in the Horse and Hound Foxhunter second round on the first day of the show, Emma once again partnered Carron Nicol’s eight year old bay gelding Wilando B who jumped another superb round.
Kirsty Hardstaff from Newark picked up fourth position along with a qualifying place for the Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival riding her own six year old bay gelding Overboard.
