Amy Carnet Conquers in Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Second Round at Coombelands Equestrian Centre

Local rider Amy Carnet fought off the challenge from fifty-six other starters on Sunday to scoop victory in the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Second Round at Coombelands Equestrian Centre in West Sussex.
All of the combinations able to produce a treble clear took qualifying tickets for next month's British Showjumping National Championships at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.
Amy, from Horsham in West Sussex, produced three flawless rounds on board Funny Boy II, a 5 year-old brown gelding owned by Tessa Talbot and delivered the last of these in 38.86 seconds to take the top spot with a just over a second to spare.
Sophie Rees from Hassocks, West Sussex secured second with Starrem Flight, a 7 year-old chestnut gelding owned by Karen Rees. Their treble clear performance in 39.93 seconds saw them achieve the only other 40.00 seconds round.
Third was taken by Katherine Ford from Ashford, Kent. Katherine rode Moya Harvey’s 6 year-old chestnut gelding Extra V into a podium place with a third clear round in a time of 40.89 seconds.
Twelve treble clears see this number of combinations from this second round go forward to the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Championship Final.
