Olivia Spooner and Zea Adams Share Top Honours in STX-UK Pony Foxhunter Second Round at Wales and West
Tuesday 28 July 2026
The STX-UK Pony Foxhunter Second Round at Wales and West on Monday proved to be a true test of skill, with Rafael Suarez setting a demanding course that challenged the 23 rider combinations forward for the class.
The technical track resulted in just two combinations producing faultless first-round performances to qualify for the second round. With qualification already secured, both riders elected to withdraw and save their ponies for another day, meaning they shared the top honours.
Joint first place was awarded to Olivia Spooner aboard Nikki Spooner's Killone Abbey and Zea Adams riding Amanda Freeman's Quick Fire Candy, with both combinations delivering the only clear rounds of the opening course to earn their place at the STX-UK Pony Foxhunter Championship.
Having successfully secured qualification, both riders will now set their sights on the Championship, where they will join the country's leading Pony Foxhunter combinations in the battle for the national title.
