British Showjumping Team announced for CSIO4* Wellington FEI Nations Cup

Following an invitation to compete in the CSIO4* Nations Cup in Wellington, USA the following team have been selected to represent Great Britain. The competition takes place between the 27th February – 3rd March 2024 at the Wellington Equestrian Centre, Florida.

  • Sameh El Dahan, who is based in Ireland, with either the 11-year-old bay gelding WKD Toronto, jointly owned by Joanne Sloan-Allen, or the 10-year-old bay stallion Oscar-A, jointly owned by Sycamore Horse Farm, Joanne Sloan-Allen and Sameh El Dahan.
     
  • Tim Gredley, from Newmarket, Suffolk, with either the 11-year-old black gelding Imperial HBF, or the 12-year-old bay gelding Medoc De Toxandria, both owned by Unex Competition Yard Ltd.
     
  • Ben Maher, from Bishop’s Stortford, Hertfordshire, with either the 13-year-old bay mare Ginger-Blue, owned by Jane Forbes-Clark, or the 10-year-old Bay Stallion Point Break, owned by Charlotte Rossetter and Pamela Wright.
     
  • Jess Mendoza, who is based in America, with the 12-year-old bay stallion I-Cap CL Z, jointly owned by Sarah Mendoza and Jess Mendoza.

The Nations Cup competition takes place on Saturday, 2 March at 16:30 hrs local time (21:30 GMT) and the Grand Prix will take place on Sunday, 3 March at 10:30 local time (15:30 GMT). The Chef d’équipe for the team will be Di Lampard.

The GBR showjumping teams are supported by the British Equestrian Federation’s World Class Programme, funded by UK Sport through the National Lottery. The Programme focuses on identifying talent, developing potential and maximising medal-winning performances on the world stage. The teams are further supported by LeMieux, who supply the teams with their saddlepads and rugs.
