Tri-Zone Airlite Senior Discovery Regional Final at the British Showjumping Bristol & Somerset Area Show

The British Showjumping Bristol & Somerset Area Show was held at The Hand Equestrian Centre in Clevedon, North Somerset and the Tri-Zone Airlite Senior Discovery Regional Final was held on Saturday 13th July 2013. A total of 32 starters came forward to compete and they were all aiming to qualify for the Tri-Zone Airlite Senior Discovery Championship Final.

This regional final proved to be successful for a number of combinations as from the twenty-three starters, fifteen went on to produce the treble clear required to qualify for the Tri-Zone Airlite Senior Discovery Championship Final, which will be held at the Alexanders Horseboxes British Showjumping Scope Festival (25th – 31st August 2013).

The clear winner of the regional final was 15 year-old Chloe Jarman from Devon. Chloe rode Zumanda, a 9 year-old bay mare owned by Julia Jarman and the combination beat the rest of the field by nearly three seconds. They clocked an official time of 37.56 seconds.

In second was 43 year-old Emma Slater from Carey, Herefordshire and she achieved her treble clear on board Ruxton Carabella, a 6 year-old bay mare owned by Edith Slater and Ruxton Stud. This combination stopped the clock on 40.16 seconds.

In third was 18 year-old Scott Molloy from Wiltshire on board Geronimo III, a 6 year-old chestnut gelding owned by Kington Langley Stud. Scott delivered his third clear in a time of 43.06 seconds.

A further twelve riders also achieved a treble clear and a total of fifteen combinations qualified for the Tri-Zone Airlite Senior Discovery Championship Final.

The Alexanders Horseboxes British Showjumping Scope Festival 2013 will take place from the 25th – 31st August 2013 at Staffordshire County Showground.
