Holly Smith takes the win in the Winter Grand Prix at Arena UK

This weekend saw Arena UK host the fourth Winter Classic Show with the Winter Grand Prix taking place on Saturday 4th December and it was Holly Smith from Loughborough, Leicestershire riding Billy Sarafina owned by Dean Vernon who took the win.

A starting field of twenty eight combinations came forward to tackle the twelve fence course designed by Mark McGowan, with seven jumping clear to qualify for the jump off.  Riding a fast but accurate round, Holly made light work of the nine fence jump off track to cross the finish line in just 40.98 seconds to take the win with 3 seconds to spare.

Taking second place was Norwich’s India Bussey riding Fahra ES a 11 year old bay mare owned by ESM Equestrian produced a solid clear to stop the clock on 44.67 seconds. Third place was filled by Katie Pytches and Newton DB clear in a time of 52.31 seconds.
