The KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice Second Round at The Cabin Equestrian Centre in Inverurie, Aberdeenshire was contested by twenty-five combinations and was eventually won by Holly Miller and HHS Dramarko.
Producing a treble clear was very much the goal for each competitor as this would secure a qualification place in the Championship Final at this summer’s British Showjumping National Championships. The final jump off of this class was contested by eight combinations, but just two treble clears were produced overall.
The fastest of these treble clears was delivered by Holly Miller from Insch, Aberdeenshire and she partnered Garry Charlish’s 6 year-old bay mare HHS Dramarko. Holly was drawn as the final competitor to go in the jump off and she used this to her advantage. Having seen just one other combination produce a treble clear, she knew that a fast and clear round would put her in contention for the win and she proceeded to achieve this with a treble clear in 47.79 seconds.
The only other treble clear was secured by Logan Creighton, from Dalry, Ayrshire on his own 6 year-old light bay gelding Oldlands Valme. This combination achieved this in 48.77 seconds.
Two combinations from this second round go forward to the KBIS Insurance Senior British Novice Championship Final.

The British Showjumping National Championships 2015 will be hosted at the National Agricultural and Exhibition Centre (NAEC), Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire during the 11th – 16th August.
