Great Britain Take European Veterans Team Bronze in Copenhagen

Great Britain’s Veteran riders have secured a fantastic bronze medal in the team event at the FEI Jumping European Championship for Veterans 2026 in Copenhagen, finishing on the podium after two rounds of determined and consistent jumping.
First to go for Great Britain was Victoria Harwood riding Native Spirit, who got the team off to the perfect start with a clear round. Next into the arena was Corinne Beech riding Amigo, who followed with another faultless performance to keep the British team firmly in contention.
Jo Siddans and Nimble-S were next to jump, picking up an unfortunate five time penalties, before Douglas Edward and Golden Boy de Jarsay delivered another impressive clear round for the team.
Last to go in the opening round was Anthony Clark riding Toronto. The pair produced a strong performance, with just an unfortunate pole down.
Heading into the second round, Great Britain continued to fight for a place on the podium. Victoria and Native Spirit once again jumped clear, maintaining their excellent score. Corinne and Amigo followed with a solid round, picking up just two time faults.
Jo and Nimble-S then produced a fantastic clear, before Douglas and Golden Boy de Jarsay once again delivered another impressive clear round. Last into the arena for Great Britain was Anthony Clark and Toronto, who finished the team’s campaign in style with a lovely clear.
With some fantastic jumping throughout both rounds, the British Veteran team secured third place and a well-deserved bronze medal, earning their place on the podium in Copenhagen.
Individual Bronze for Douglas Edward
The success continued into the individual championship, where Douglas Edward and Golden Boy de Jarsay kept their nerve to produce a series of fantastic clear rounds.
The pair showed tremendous consistency and composure throughout the competition, ensuring Great Britain remained represented on the podium.
Their impressive performances saw Douglas Edward and Golden Boy de Jarsay claim the individual bronze medal, adding another European Championship medal to Great Britain’s haul.
A huge congratulations to Victoria Harwood and Native Spirit, Corinne Beech and Amigo, Jo Siddans and Nimble-S, Douglas Edward and Golden Boy de Jarsay, and Anthony Clark and Toronto on an outstanding European Championship.
