A New Era for Team Jumping in 2026

British Showjumping is delighted to introduce an exciting new format for Team Jumping competitions, launching in 2026. Designed to offer greater flexibility, inclusivity, and opportunity, this refreshed structure allows riders to come together like never before.

Build Your Dream Team

For 2026 you can create a team with friends you’ve met at competitions across the UK, giving you the chance to ride alongside familiar faces and build your very own dream team. Whether you’ve formed friendships ringside or through shared success, now is your opportunity to compete together.

Choose Your Height

The team competitions are at 90cm, 1.00m, or 1.10m, allowing you to select the level that best suits you and your teammates.

Team Structure

Each team must consist of a minimum of three and a maximum of four riders. Teams are self-funded, giving riders the freedom to organise and manage their own participation.

  • Each rider may jump once per team
  • Horse and rider combinations may compete at two consecutive heights
  • Horses are permitted to compete in two different teams, provided they are in separate classes

Competition Format

The competition will take place over two rounds, with all team members jumping in both rounds—making consistency and teamwork key to success.

Key Dates

The qualifying period will run from May to July, with the top teams earning their place at the prestigious British Showjumping National Championships in August. This iconic event will provide the perfect stage to showcase the very best of the new team format.

Find Out More

This new structure opens the door to a more connected and collaborative competition experience, encouraging riders to come together, support one another, and enjoy the sport as a team.
