10 More Horses Gain Qualification to Contend for the Big Star Trophy in the Prestige Italia Big Star Championship Qualifier at Coombelands Equestrian Centre

This week, Coombelands Equestrian was full of showjumping action, including the Prestige Italia Big Star Championship Qualifier. 32 combinations came forward to navigate their horses through three courses, aiming for a treble clear to qualify for the Prestige Italia Six-Year-Old Championship Final at the Young Horse Show, taking place at Hickstead in August.

The ten combinations to achieve triple clears were:

Sophie Lincoln & Cornets Quality Cruise

Riders in the Prestige Italia Six-Year-Old Championship will compete for the Big Star Trophy, awarded in honour of Nick Skelton’s 2016 Olympic gold medal winner. Any horse jumping a treble clear in one of the four Big Star qualifiers held between May and July will automatically be eligible for the £1,000 Big Star Bonus, which will be awarded in the Final.
