Saturday 26 August 2017

Following yesterday’s third qualifying round, the top 25 individuals move forward to contest Sunday’s Individual Final, after a secondary horse inspection later this afternoon.

After some superb jumping this week, to finish in 26th place following yesterday’s round, the decision has been made to withdraw William Whitaker’s ride Utamaro d Ecaussines, owned by Ludwig and Yasmine Criel, from the horse inspection later today.

Ludwig and Yasmine Criel commented; “We are very happy with William and Utamaro’s performance this week. We think that the horse has done enough and decided with the team to withdraw him from the competition.”

Great Britain’s Performance Director, Gordon Burton added; “William and Utamaro have delivered some stunning jumping this week and have had a fantastic first championships. I am certain that we will see a lot more of them on teams in the future.”
