THE INAUGURAL LONDON SPRING INTERNATIONAL SHOW TO HOST WINTER CHAMPIONSHIP FINALS

British Showjumping are delighted to announce that the inaugural FEI CSI3* London Spring International will take place at the ExCel-London Exhibition Centre between the 14 – 17 April 2017 and will also play host to a number of British Showjumping Winter Championships.

The show, which will be situated in the South Hall of the ExCel complex will give spectators easy access via DLR and London City airport and has a seating capacity in excess of 6,000.  Offering top class international Showjumping between Good Friday through to Easter Monday, spectators will also be provided with arena performances providing fun filled family entertainment along with a crowd pleasing Puissance on  Saturday evening and a Grand Prix on the final day.

There will be eight National Winter Finals on offer, six of which are new.  The two existing national championship titles which will be moving to their new home at the London Spring International are the:
-    Winter Grade C
-    Winter Amateur Finals. 

The six new Winter Championships which will be incorporated into the schedule are the: 
-    Senior Winter Bronze League Final
-    Senior Winter Silver League Final
-    Senior Winter Gold League Final
-    Winter 1.35m Final
-    Children on Horses Winter Championships
-    Under 25 Winter championships.

Iain Graham, Chief Executive for British Showjumping commented “The launch of the London Spring International show is an incredibly welcome one on many levels.  It will create a superb showcase for our sport within a prestigious venue that is centrally located in London as well as give many more of our riders the opportunity to compete at international level on home soil.  In addition, it will allow for our national members, across all levels, to focus on qualifying for a high profile championships as a culmination to their winter season”.

Daniel Watson, for the London Spring International said “ We are extremely pleased to be able to include the Winter Championships Finals into the show programme.  It was always our aim to produce a show that would provide great entertainment and sport in addition to it inspiring spectators and competitors alike and by introducing these championships into the show we believe we will be able to do just that”.

Information in respect of qualifying for the new Winter Finals will be made available shortly on the British Showjumping website. 

The London Spring International will also run CDI3* international Dressage from Wednesday 12th  – Thursday 13th April.   Tickets will be going on sale in the near future and further information on the event can be found by visiting www.londonspringinternational.com
