Stuart Muirhead wins NAF Five Star Final

The NAF Five Star Final took place in Arena 2 at the British Showjumping National Championships. Taking the title was 18 year old Stuart Muirhead riding Merllyns Mondena.
Stuart and ‘Ginger’ as she is more commonly known at home, produced a lovely clear round in the jump off in a time of 31.6 seconds, just pipping Fraser Sinclair and Vladimir D to the top spot. Fraser took a respectful second place with a clear round and a time of 34.6 in the jump off.
The Aberdeenshire based showjumper braved the 12 hour drive to contest the class, and felt it was well worth it.
“We’ve owned Ginger for the past 4 years and we’ve tried to win this for the last 3 years. She’s 16 years old and she just loves her job and never stops. I thought it was a good fun class and in the jump off we just went for it! Being a NAF class you just try that little bit harder.”
