Squibb Group Pony Foxhunter Second Round at the Scottish Home Pony
Wednesday 05 August 2015

The Scottish Home Pony at Morris Equestrian Centre in Fenwick, Ayrshire was the location for the final Squibb Group Pony Foxhunter Second Round on Saturday and twenty-nine hopefuls came forward with the aim of picking up one of the three tickets for the Squibb Group Pony Foxhunter Championship Final at Horse of the Year Show.
The qualification places were eventually taken by the three combinations able to deliver a double clear on the day. These three combinations elected to share the top spot after deciding not to progress through into the final jump off due to adverse weather conditions.
Those finishing in equal first were Fraser Reed, aged 14 from St Andrews, Fife partnering his mother Aileen’s 12 year-old bay gelding, Jiminy Cricket; Alex Mchattie, aged 16 from Carlisle, Cumbria with her mother Sara’s 14 year-old black mare Expressive Hopscotch and Alexander Mclean, aged 12 from Lasswade, Midlothian with Tobar King, an 8 year-old grey gelding owned by Marjory McNaughton.
With the three direct qualifying tickets for the Squibb Group Pony Foxhunter Championship Final at the Horse of the Year Show having already been secured, the combinations in fourth and fifth took home the chance to compete in the Squibb Group Pony Foxhunter Masters at the forthcoming British Showjumping National Championships.
