Speedi-Beet Renew Title Sponsorship of the British Showjumping HOYS Grade C Championship

Speedi-Beet, from British Horse Feeds, will be continuing their support of British Showjumping into 2015 via the renewal of their title sponsorship of the British Showjumping HOYS Grade C Championship. This announcement marks Speedi-Beet’s fourth year of alignment with this popular series, which will once again culminate with the Championship Final at Horse of the Year Show at Birmingham’s Genting Arena.

The Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Championship Series is for registered horses in Grade C, ridden by Adult, Associate or Junior members. Nearly five hundred competitors came forward to contest the ten direct qualifiers that were held between May – August in 2014. Emma Jo Slater delivered a blistering jump-off display to claim the 2014 Championship aboard Lizziemary, an 8 year-old chestnut mare owned by Kim Barzilay.

Speedi-Beet is high in fibre and can help to aid rapid rehydration for performance horses whilst optimising energy release rate. This is due to the soluble fibre in Speedi-Beet, which has a high water holding capacity increasing the amount of fluid in the horse’s hindgut. This reservoir can then be drawn upon during prolonged exercise to help replace water lost through sweating.

Commenting on this announcement, Will I’Anson, Sales Director at British Horse Feeds, said “We are delighted to be sponsoring the Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C again this year. The qualifiers attract a large number of competitors and provide an excellent platform for promoting Speedi-Beet. We like to invest in equestrian sport; sponsorship is our way of giving something back to the industry in which we thrive."

Maria Clayton, Head of Communications at British Showjumping commented “We are pleased to be able to announce British Horse Feeds’ continued support of this Championship via their popular Speedi-Beet brand and we are of course extremely grateful to them for their ongoing alignment. The Championship is the perfect fit as it directly aligns with the target market for Speedi-Beet and we look forward to working alongside the team at British Horse Feeds for another year.”

Competitors will have the opportunity to qualify for the Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Championship 2015 at the ten direct qualifiers, which will be held during May – August.
