Sophie Strawson Leads the Way in the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Second Round at Willow Banks Equestrian Centre

Proving to be on fine form, Sophie Strawson topped the leader board to take the win in this season’s first Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Second Round at Willow Banks Equestrian Centre in Lincolnshire.

Forty-five combinations started out over Sunday’s course and each rider was hoping to secure a treble clear as this would see them take a place in the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Championship Final, which will be held during the British Showjumping National Championships in August.

The initial starting field was whittled down as just twenty competitors produced a double clear for a place in the final jump off. As twelve talented partnerships were able to secure a treble clear it was left up to the all-important clock to decide the winner.

Sophie Strawson from Sleaford, Lincolnshire gave three clean performances on board Judith Dodd’s 8 year-old bay gelding, Kameron Van Het Lindehof. This pair definitely saved their best until last as they flew round the jump-off course in just 45.22 seconds to an immaculate treble clear.

With another eleven combinations also achieving a treble clear, a total of twelve combinations now go forward to the Nupafeed Supplements Senior Discovery Championship Final.
