Senior Foxhunter Championship to be sponsored by Equitop® GLME for next two years

British Showjumping is delighted to announce that Equitop® will be continuing with their title sponsorship of the British Showjumping Senior Foxhunter Championship for another two years and they will be doing so under the Equitop® GLME banner. Equitop® GLME is a unique joint supplement specifically designed to support healthy joint function in horses.

The Senior Foxhunter Championship has been sponsored by Equitop Myoplast® for the last three years and in 2021, Equitop® will celebrate five consecutive years of sponsorship. The Championship is a mainstay of the national showjumping calendar and is also one of the most important for those contesting it. It is for registered horses in Grade C that have not won a total of 700 points and they are to be ridden by an Adult, Associate or Junior Member. All registered horses aged seven years and under in the same calendar year as the Championship Final, irrespective of points, are also eligible to compete. The 2020 and 2021 series will once again culminate at Horse of the Year Show at Birmingham’s NEC Resorts World Arena.

Equitop® is committed to supporting showjumpers and the equestrian industry through highlighting the benefits of its product amongst all riders, trainers and equine enthusiasts. From the moment horses reach skeletal maturity, the normal ageing process kicks in and ongoing joint wear and tear is a key consideration for all owners. Researched and developed by the global leaders in equine health, Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health, Equitop® GLME has been designed to support a horse’s joint health and soundness. It has also been tested free of prohibited substances.

Many leading riders use Equitop® GLME and brand ambassadors include international showjumpers Scott Brash, William Whitaker, Emma Stoker, Alison Barton, James Smith, Nicole Pavitt, Trevor Breen, Corinne Collins, Joe Davison and Matt Sampson.

Liz Barrett, Business Head of Equine, commented “We are delighted to continue our successful partnership with the popular, and prestigious, Senior Foxhunter Championship series which showcases some of the best up and coming young horses. Equitop® GLME is a perfect fit as the brand supports these young equine athletes and we are excited to be part of their journey.”

Maria Haig, British Showjumping Head of Communications, added "The Senior Foxhunter Championship is not only steeped in sporting history but is also recognised as a competition from which potential top level horses for the future can be identified. It is a prestigious series with a high profile final that focuses on the horse’s potential for the future and with this in mind it is a perfect fit for Equitop® as it provides the ideal platform for the promotion of their products that are designed for the competition horse. We are absolutely delighted to be retaining Equitop’s alignment with the championship for a further two years; this time with Equitop® GLME.
