Robert Whitaker claims second in Longines CSI5* Grand Prix of St. Moritz

Monday 21 August 2017

Robert Whitaker and Catwalk IV claimed second place in yesterday's Longines CSI5* Grand Prix of St. Moritz and in doing so, picked up 50,000.00 CHF.

With nine of the forty one starters making it through to the jump off, Robert and the 14 year-old brown gelding owned by Clare Whitaker and Mandy Hall, pulled out all the stops to deliver another clear round, crossing the finish line in 38.20 seconds. This result saw them take the runners up spot behind Belgium’s Wilm Vermeir riding Iq Van Het Steentje.

Fellow Brit Keith Shore also featured in the jump-off on board his own 10 year-old grey gelding, Hermes I and were unfortunate to have a pole down in another wise perfect round. They finished in seventh place overall.
