Robert Whitaker & Guy Williams enjoy success in La Coruna CSI 5* Grand Prix

Saturday 14 December 2019

Catwalk IV, the 16 year-old bay gelding owned by Mandy Hall and Clare Whitaker, posted two solid rounds in today’s CSI 5* Longines Grand Prix in La Coruna, Spain to finish in 3rd place.

Clear in the first round, one of only four combinations that managed to do so, it was an unlucky 4 penalties in the jump-off that saw them move into 3rd place with their time of 40.84 seconds.  Fellow Brit rider Guy Williams, was also one of the four to secure their place in the jump off with a first round clear.  Riding Rouge de Ravel, a 14 year-old bay stallion, the jump-off saw things not go as well as they did in the first round when they picked up 16 penalties and 4th place.

The win went to Denis Lynch (IRL) and Rubens LS la Silla with a clear in 40.33 seconds and 2nd place to Marc Houtzager (NED) with Sterrehof’s Dante who finished on 4 penalties in a time of 39.79 seconds.
