Rachel Vicary Took Top Spot in the Silver League Qualifier at Bicton Arena

Rachel Vicary took home the top spot in the Silver League Qualifier held at Bicton Arena on Sunday to guarantee a place in the semi-final in August and taking her one step closer to the ultimate goal of qualifying for the Horse of the Year Show in October.

Forty-four competitors were all chasing the three qualification place up for grabs, with a talented twenty-five combinations producing a first round clear to reach the jump off.

Rachel from Crediton, Devon rode a lightening fast round on board Sparkling Indulgence, a 15 year-old grey gelding owned by Amanda Vicary. This pair wiped 0.12 of a second off the time, pushing them in to first place with a double clear in 36.41 seconds.

Rebecca Mason from Stroud, Gloucestershire slid into second place after putting in a consistent and accurate performance on board her own 12 year-old dark bay mare, Miserden Imprezza. This pair posted their double clear in 36.53 seconds.

Taking third place and the final qualification spot of the day was Gemma Hallett from Wellington, Somerset. Riding her own 17 year-old bay gelding, Wake Up, Gemma posted a double clear in 37.47 seconds.
