Pony Second Rounds at Brook Farm Equestrian Club

Brook Farm Equestrian Club in Romford, Essex saw pony riders turn out in force last weekend leading to some hotly contested Second Round classes.

Pony British Novice Second Round – Saturday 17th June 2017

Securing top spot on the leader board was 16 year-old Lily Buckle from Offham, Kent riding Lucky To Be, a 7 year-old grey mare owned by Jeremy Buckle. This partnership broke the forty second barrier to deliver a treble clear in 39.50 seconds.

With ten qualification places on offer for the Pony British Novice Championship Final which will be held at the British Showjumping National Championships in August, it proved to be a competitive class.

Pony Discovery Second Round - Sunday 18th June 2017

Continuing her winning form, 16 year-old Lily took first place yet again on board Lucky To Be. This pair had speed on their side as they stormed to an unbeatable treble clear in 32.50 seconds to secure a place in the Pony Discovery Final which will be held at the British Showjumping National Championships in August.

The British Showjumping National Championships 2017 will take place during the 8th – 13th August at the National Agricultural and Exhibition Centre (NAEC), Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire.
