Peter Charles and Stapleton Mist 2nd in Mijas CSI2* Grand Prix

It was just .69 of a second that stopped Peter Charles and Stapleton Mist from taking pole position in the Mijas CSI2* Grand Prix in Spain this afternoon and the National Anthem being played during the awards ceremony.
Stapleton Mist, an incredibly eye-catching British Bred 10 year-old grey gelding owned jointly by John Roberts and Olga White has been produced carefully by Peter during the past few years and his foot-perfect performance today really showcased his talent.
One of only five competitors that achieved a double clear in the competition they finished in 2nd place behind Andreas Brenner and Cronos 17 for Germany in a time of 38.29 seconds. It was Diego Perez Bilbao with Zydoctro vd Kapel that took 3rd place for Spain finishing a fraction of a second slower than Peter in a time of 38.91 seconds whilst Edwin Smits for the Netherlands took 4th place with Copain du Perchet CH in a time of 39.88 seconds.
James Smith from Scotland took 6th place with Tyson Uno having incurred 4 penalties in the jump off within a time of 39.17seconds. Hot on their heels was another British rider in the form of Anna Edwards with Blazer B, whom also incurred 4 penalties finishing in a slightly slower time of 40.22 seconds.
