Paul Barker wins the British Horse Feeds Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Qualifier at Bramham International Horse Show

Proving that he is still on winning form, Paul Barker secured his second ticket to the Horse of the Year Show, this time taking top spot in the British Horse Feeds Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Qualifier held at Bramham International Trials on Saturday.  

With three qualification places available for the British Horse Feeds Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Championship Final at Horse of the Year Show, the class proved to be a great competition for competitors and spectators alike.

From an initial starting field of forty-eight, just ten produced a clear round to take their place in the jump off.  

Paul Barker from Northallerton, North Yorkshire gave the winning performance on board John Steels’ 7 year-old bay gelding, Gait L.  After producing a foot perfect clear in the first round, this combination went on to storm the jump-off to claim a lightning fast double clear in 36.65 seconds.

1st Paul Barker & Gait L – 0/0 – 36.65 seconds
2nd Jackson Reed Stephenson & Exception – 0/0 – 38.01 seconds
3rd Alison Barton & Billy Rembrandt  – 0/0 – 38.68 seconds

NB: Qualifications will be updated pending official grading of results.

The Horse of the Year Show will take place from the 3th – 7th October 2018 at Birmingham’s NEC.
