Oliver Tuff and Jack Whitaker finish within Top 4 of Wierden Junior Grand Prix

 

Great Britain took two of the top four Junior Grand Prix placings in Weirden, The Netherlands, earlier this evening when both Oliver Tuff and Jack Whitaker posted two of the four double clear performances achieved within the competition.

Oliver Tuff, aged 16, from Totnes, Devon with Darino B, an 11 year-old bay gelding owned by Jo Bishop and Justin Tuff posted their jump off clear in a time of 42.35 seconds to take 3rd place behind Elize van de Mheen (NED) and Ferdinand B who took the title in 40.45 seconds.  Just ahead of them also was Johanna Beckmann (GER) and Cheenook 8 who broke the finish line clear in 41.54 seconds to sit in 2nd position.

Jack Whitaker, aged 17, from Whatton, Nottinghamshire riding Queen Elisabeth, a 10 year-old bay mare owned jointly by his father and Molly Orstrom also put in a solid jump-off clear. His time of 43.24 seconds saw them take 4th place ahead of Max Wachman (IRE) and Atlantic du Seigneur who finished on 5 penalties in a time of 47.76 to take 5th with Spain’s Tresor de Varende slotting into 6th place with 8 penalties in 44.06
