Nina Emery crowned National Senior Rider Champion

There were 11 combinations going forward to the jump off in the Senior Rider Championship but Nina Emery stole the show riding Piana, a 12 year old mare ahead of Derek Morton who came in second riding Keep Talking. Having been a partnership for six years, Nina and Piana demonstrated a true partnership. Nina found the bay mare over in France, working as a dressage horse: “I fell in love with her as soon as I set eyes on her; she has amazing paces and movement in her hind quarters.” Transforming the young mare from a dressage horse to a show jumping horse has paid dividends for Nina and the pair have had some great wins in the last 12 months including winning the 2015 Bolesworth International Amateur Grand Prix and now being crowned the National Senior Rider Champion 2016.
