NICK SKELTON WINS INDIVIDUAL GOLD AT RIO

We are extremely proud to be announcing this evening that Nick Skelton with Gary and Beverley Widdowson's Big Star have secured Individual Gold at the Rio 2016 Olympic Games.

Their performance was absolutely outstanding in what was one of the most thrilling and hardest Jump-Off's for an Olympic medal that we have ever seen.

Team Gold medallists at London 2012, Big Star has since been nursed through injury to come back at the highest level of the sport and jump three phenomenal clear rounds in a six way jump off for Gold.

A full release will be issued later this evening, but in the meantime a huge congratulations to Nick Skelton and Big Star, owners Gary and Beverley Widdowson and the entire team that have supported this super talented duo on the way to their Gold Medal winning success today.

British Showjumping are absolutely honoured to have Nick Skelton and Big Star jumping for Great Britain.  Their story is inspirational, their performance today absolutely awesome and what they have achieved for the sport with their Individual Gold medal can only bode well for the future health of showjumping in Great Britain.
