Laura Robinson secures her place in the Horse & Hound Foxhunter Championship at Horse of the Year Show

The Andrews Bowen Indoor Arena was buzzing with anticipation this afternoon as the audience eagerly watched the prestigious Horse & Hound Senior Foxhunter Masters.
The competition proved intense creating an electric atmosphere as horses and riders tackled the challenging course designed by Steve Williams.
The competition saw many close rounds, making it clear that riders were focused on guaranteeing their place at Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) in October. With four Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) tickets promised to the top four combinations not already qualified, the strategy of many riders appeared to be one of risk and reward.
A total of thirty-six combinations started with only thirteen making it through to the all-important jump off.
Laura Robinson from Northallerton, North Yorkshire riding her own 7 year-old bay mare Cybel II picked up her spot in the Championship final after producing a double clear in a time of 44.44 seconds. Also picking up their places in the championship final was Daniel Moseley from South Hykeham, Lincolnshire with Simon Roe’s 7 year-old grey gelding Dexter X, Danny Dunne from Salisbury, Wiltshire with Criss Cross an 8 year-old chestnut gelding owned by Roelof Bril.
Taking the last of the qualification places on offer was Sally Swiers with her own 8 year-old chestnut gelding Millfield Long Socks.
The previously announced winner, Richard Barton, was ineligible for the class and subsequently his result has been made void.
