Laura Mantel triumphs in the British Horse Feeds Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Qualifier at the Royal Bath and West Show

The Royal Bath and West Show took place in Shepton Mallet, Somerset and was a great event for competitors and spectators alike. Taking the atmosphere in her stride, it was Laura mantel who put forward the winning performance in the British Horse Feeds Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Qualifier.

With three qualification places available for the British Horse Feeds Speedi-Beet HOYS Grade C Championship Final at Horse of the Year Show, each of the thirty-eight combinations came forward with the aim of securing a place at the top of the leader board with a double clear.

As ten riders jumped clear in round one, it was left up to the all-important clock to decide the winner as they headed into the final jump off.

Laura travelled from Reading Berkshire with MHS San Francisco, a 7 year-old bay mare owned by John Renwick. This pair put forward a strong clear round to take their place in the jump off and went on to deliver a lightning fast jump off performance to cross the finish line in 38.83 seconds with a double clear.
