Just for Schools 1m & 1.10m Individual and Team Finals

Individual Titles
18 year-old Alice Sandiford from Highbridge in Somerset left the rest of the thirty-five strong field standing in the Just for Schools Individual 1m Final when she blazed home with a double clear in a time of 25.49 seconds, more than two seconds ahead of her closest rival.

Taking place at the NAF Five Star British Showjumping National Championships at Bolesworth the competition certainly heated up with many trying to catch her time and be in with a chance of taking the title as their own.  Aboard her 10 year-old Appaloosa Sandstone Scalpings, Alice left no stone unturned and it was 16 year-old Beri Brown from Dumfries & Galloway with Mocklershill Lucky Lady, a 9 year-old grey, that had to satisfy themselves with 2nd place.  3rd place went to Skye Jones with the 11 year-old grey gelding Steely Blue II.

The 1.10m Final saw some equally competitive riding and it was 16 year-old Harriet Otter from Ellesmere, Shropshire with her 14 year-old mare Soley Britannia that headed the line up having broken the finish line in a time of 37.54 seconds ahead of William Field with Killack King who also jumped clear albeit in a slightly slower time of 38.30 seconds.  3rd place went to Isabella Armstrong with Rhencullen Tommy Tucker.

Team Titles

Reclaiming last years victory in the Just For Schools 1m Final was Hertfordshire located Berkhamsted School.  Always strong contenders in the Just For Schools championships, they took the win with their Berkhamstead Team 2 relegating their primary ‘Team 1’ into 2nd place.

The Berkhamsted 2 team of Madeline Nagele, Charlotte  Hill and Taila Clarke finished collectively on just 8 penalties across the two rounds to leap ahead of their Team 1 of Eddie Mae Coles, Harriet Beeby Wynn, Georgie Beeby Wynn and Jake Barton who’s collective score saw them finish on 20 penalties.

Berkhamsted were also the claimants of the 1.10 Team Final with Georgie , Jake and Eddie and were joined by Team 2 member Taila.
