Joe Whitaker Wins CSI2* Kronenberg Grand Prix

Monday 12 September 2016

Joe Whitaker from Barnsley, South Yorkshire added to a successful weekend for Brits competing abroad when he won yesterday’s CSI2* Kronenberg Grand Prix at the De Peelbergen Equestrian Centre in The Netherlands.

On board the 11 year-old bay mare Lola V owned by Steven Whitaker and Dawn Makin, Joe fought off fifty-eight other challengers to take the lion’s share of the prize money. In the fifteen strong jump off, Joe and Lola V were both accurate and fast and this showed when they clocked up their double clear in just 29.73 seconds.

Home rider Vincent Voorn took second place with Quinlan whilst third place was secured by Ali Al Khorafi on Cheril. Both riders also delivered double clears in 30.51 seconds and 30.53 seconds respectively.
