James Wilson 3rd in 3* Vejer de la Frontera Grand Prix

James Wilson (GBR) took 3rd place with the 14 year-old Imagine de Muze owned by Heather Larson in the 1.60m CSI4* Longines Grand Prix Final this afternoon at Vejer de la Frontera, Spain.
It was a field of fifty combinations that came forward to contest the €148,900 prize fund on offer across the 1.60m Uliano Vezzani designed course. The win was secured by Enrique Camiruaga (ESP) in front of his home crowd when he delivered the sole first round clear of the competition with the 11 year-old Vintage.
Fellow home rider, Santiago Nunez Riva, took 2nd with Valentino de Hus Z who posted the fastest round on 4 penalties when he stopped the clock in 74.27 seconds. James took 3rd by being hot on their heels when he crossed the finish line just .19 of a second slower with Holly Smith (GBR) slotting in behind James, also on 4 penalties, on Fruselli owned by herself and TJ Hall Limited with a time of 75.62 seconds.
Ellen Whitaker took 6th place on the 10 year-old Spacecake owned by Tilly Shaw making it three Brits in the final line up with her 4 penalty finish in a time of 75.95 seconds. Full results here
