Gillian Anderson Wins the SEIB Winter Novice Qualifier at Richmond Equestrian Centre

Gillian Anderson from Strathaven, Lanarkshire finished in top spot on Sunday to claim the SEIB Winter Novice Qualifier at Richmond Equestrian Centre in North Yorkshire.
A determined field of forty-two starters made the journey, all vying for one of the two qualification places on offer for the Championship Final which will be held at the prestigious Royal International Horse Show at Hickstead, West Sussex this summer. After a nail biting first round, just sixteen combinations made it through to jump again and the tension continued to rise as seven combinations went on to produce a double clear.
Riding Linda Anderson’s 7 year-old bay gelding, JJ’s Prince Chaccomo, Gillian set the bar high after producing a speedy double clear in a time that none of her fellow competitors could match. This pair crossed the finish line in a winning time of 37.21 seconds.
Coming in second was Rosie Gunn who travelled from Nottingham with her 6 year-old liver chestnut gelding, Jagerbomb. The combination were strong challengers and posted their double clear in 37.26 seconds.
