Emma Stoker win Great Yorkshire's International Stairway

Emma Stoker registered her biggest ever victory when Townhead Tallulah V won a thrilling forty-six starter International Stairway at Great Yorkshire Show.

Clear rounds were initially slow in coming after the pathfinders in the first round Keith Shore and Mystic Hurricane maintained a zero score, but eight other hopefuls followed the British Masters grand prix winners into the jump-off.

Eventual runners up Holly Gillott and Jane Bean’s JB’s Hot Stuff set the standard from third draw and while the time was beaten by other riders three times, it was at the expense of rails on the ground.

Having produced one of the quickest first round times with Robert Young’s Tabasco La Silla 10-year-old, Emma Stoker secured one of the favoured late draws and with two to follow her, she again used Townhead Tallulah’s natural speed to best advantage, to post the winning time.

Completing a top three for lady riders, last drawn Carron Nicol steered her stallion Mr Visto into third place.
