Emily Moffitt claims 1.45m GP in Oliva Nova, Spain

Sunday 28 October 2018

It was a win for GB’s Emily Moffitt with Poden Farm’s 11 year-old bay mare Tipsy du Terral when she claimed the Gold Tour 1.45m GP earlier today.

Her clear in a time of 36.15 seconds saw her take the lead in the eleven strong jump-off in which six other combinations managed to achieve a second round clear.  One of only two riders to break the 37 second barrier, she was joined by fellow Brit rider Matthew Sampson who stopped the clock a fraction of a second slower on the 9 year-old grey mare Ebolensky to finish in 2nd place.

It was a strong field that had seen fifty-five starters come forward to contest the course which asked them to jump thirteen obstacles requiring sixteen jumping efforts in the time allowed of 77 seconds.  The Mediterranean Equestrian Tour (Autumn MET) continues for another two weeks before drawing to a close on the 11th November.   For full information and results visit www.metoliva.com
