Dan Delsart lands the SEIB Winter Novice Qualifier at The College Equestrian, Centre, Keysoe

The penultimate round of SEIB Winter Novice Qualifiers took place on Sunday morning at The College Equestrian Centre, Keysoe in Bedfordshire during their Winter Classic Show.
Just short of half of the initial field negotiated a clear round around Course Designer David Cole’s 1.10m first round track. The pressure was firmly on with only two qualifying tickets available for the Championship Final held at the Royal International Horse Show, Hickstead in the summer but Dan Delsart kept his cool to take the win.
Emma-Jo Slater with Lindsay Wood’s Hazelwood Baloubelle set a challenging pace from an early draw, they crossed the finish line in 43.95 seconds and the held the lead before being pipped into second place by Dan Delsart. Dan from Wellingborough, Northamptonshire piloted Jacob Martin’s diminutive 8 year-old gelding Charlie Brown Z to victory by edging ahead of Emma-Jo by 0.5 seconds finishing in 43.45 seconds.
