Daisy Mckinlay and Cranford Jack win the Pony Silver League 148cm

Rounding off a busy week in the All Weather Arena 2 was the enthralling final of the Pony Silver League 148cm and Under. Eighteen pony and rider combinations fought hard for the all important win amongst tough competition. The course allowed the riders to demonstrate their skills with 9 going through to the jump off, 4 of which produced outstanding double clears with extremely close times.

Tensions were high as ponies raced to the finish lines, with tight lines and quick turns required to stay within contention. As the class progressed, the atmosphere ringside grew with many spectators in awe of the outstanding performances on show.

It was the unbeatable Daisy Mckinlay with Cranford Jack who completed the first double clear of the class and held on to the lead time of 35 seconds. The pace was then set for the rest of the jump off as each competitor tried to overtake Daisy’s exceptionally quick time. However, all challengers were unsuccessful enabling Daisy to keep her lead and win the class.

Daisy is no stranger to winning and this particular class finished a great week for her at the British Showjumping National Championships: “It felt really good, I didn’t expect to come in the top 3, so really chuffed with winning.”

Close second place went to Millie Dickinson with a jump off time of 35.19 with super pony Ron Burgundy. As the highest placed Pony Club member in the class, Millie’s achievement was recognised the Pony Club and she was presented with her own rosette and sash.
