Dodson & Horrell 0.95m and 1.10m National Amateur Second Rounds at Beacons Equestrian Centre

The Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Second Rounds at Beacons Equestrian Centre saw competitors compete across the 95cm and 1.10m Second Rounds. Qualification for the Dodson & Horrell National Amateur Championships, held at Aintree Equestrian Centre in Liverpool during the 13th – 18th November 2018, was in everyone’s sights.

Dodson & Horrell 95cm National Amateur Second Round

Tara Yate from Dryslwyn, Carmarthen took her place at the top of the leader board on the Sannanvalley Stud’s 5-Year-Old bay gelding Oneida Royale.

Only four made it through to the seven fence jump off but only three could produce a double clear. Tara displayed accuracy and precision by shaving of 0.73 seconds to win in a time of 38.23 seconds.

4 Elin Jenkins & Dunkerrin Morning Mist – 0/4 – 50.33 seconds

Dodson & Horrell 1.10m National Amateur Second Round

Ceri Williams from Welshpool, Powys took the top spot in the Dodson & Horrell 1.10m Second Round on her 12-Year-Old bay mare, Dellrose Rosie.

Only two combinations came forward to the jump off. A clear round was all Ceri and Dellrose Rosie needed to take the win and she did so in style, knocking 11.92 seconds off her nearest rival’s time.
