SCOTTISH ACADEMY HORSE CAMP 2023 – MORRIS EC 3RD – 5TH JULY

Please follow the booking process below if you wish to apply.

148 Ponies with a rider of 12 years or over with registered results at 80cm and above are welcome to apply for Horse Camp.  For qualification purposes and the Camp show, 148 ponies must compete at the 2nd Pony Camp Show on Thursday 6th July at Morris. Groups will be organised with 148 ponies together.

Please email Lucy Moss first if you wish to book stating which Academy you attend.  Your Training Coordinator will then be contacted to confirm attendance, once complete the link to book in on Horsemonkey will be sent to you. Eligibility to attend: must be an active Academy Member since August 2022.

There will be no physical forms to fill in this year, all questions and T&C’s are on Horsemonkey.

Please note below the format for selection for teams/individuals to represent Scotland at the Academy Final on 7th – 9th August 2023 this year.

Eligibility to qualify for team final: up to the rider age of 21 years by the final date.

Competition Format:

The day will consist of warm-up classes followed by the qualifying competitions for the final at Stoneleigh. The result of the team(s) to represent Scotland at the final will be decided on the results after the competition.

The Team members will be selected as follows: each Team will be made up of three riders from the Horse Academy Camp attendees and the fourth place to either a Camp attendee or an external Horse Academy competitor who has taken part only in the last day’s competition depending on the results.

No horse substitutions for the final unless a current horse/rider record can be supplied at the relevant height.

Please note for final: Riders can only compete once in a team, but may compete a different horse in another team at the same height. Horses may only compete once in any (Team/Individual) competition.

Riders will be required to participate in all camp activities in order to be classed as a full attending camp rider.

Riders conduct at camp will also be taken into consideration.

Please note: Teams will not be announced on the show day. 

If we have the correct standard of rider/ horse combinations we may decide to enter more than one team to the final at Stoneleigh.
