Notice To Members - Simon John Rodgerson

On behalf of the Rodgerson family, British Showjumping Scotland wish to inform all members that Simon John Rodgerson passed away on Wednesday 28th August 2019 after losing his battle with cancer.
Our thoughts are with the Rodgerson family at this sad time.

It is with great sadness that we have to report the passing of our great friend Simon John Rodgerson. Simon passed away on Wednesday evening after losing his battle with cancer. His daughter Nikki was and has been by his side during the last few weeks. Whilst she is heartbroken, she has asked us to tell everyone that she is totally blown away by all the comments, kind words and memories of her father. They are a great help and to keep them coming. I’m sure there are many. On a personal note, we were lucky to spend quite some time with Simon over the last two years and were able to relive our time together. Whilst here he still managed to ‘Simonize’ a lot of pupils and friends, all of whom will never forget their time with the legend that was Simon Rodgerson.
Our hearts and thoughts are with Nikki, William, Peter and family at this very difficult time. Simon will be cremated on Monday at 4pm in Turino, Italy and thereafter, his ashes will return to Scotland sometime within the next few months.
