British Breeding Baileys Horse Feed Futurity 2023

The British Breeding Baileys Horse Feed Futurity is back for 2023, with the evaluation series of foals and youngstock taking place at a wide range of venues across the U.K.

This programme continues to develop and nurture British-bred equine talent for their performance potential as dressage horses, showjumpers, eventers or endurance horses and ponies as well as cementing the strong links between British breeders and the sport. 

The Futurity evaluation and veterinary assessment identifies horses that may go on to compete successfully at all levels by cultivating soundness and longevity, not only for the welfare of the horse but also for the benefit of the sport. It aims to increase the chance of the many talented British-bred horses going to British riders who can maximise their potential.

The Futurity is an evaluation of a horse rather than a show, where the horse or pony will be marked using a set of criteria appropriate for that horse’s age and intended discipline. Those Futurity entries with a score of 8 or above are eligible for selection at the Elite Futurity Auction, held online during September with live webinar previews of the youngsters that will be offered for sale.  

ClipMyHorse.TV, the official live-streaming partner of British Showjumping, will be live-streaming the events to allow those who are unable to attend to view these top-class foals to five-year-olds.
