Will Funnell finishes third in CSI 4* Samorin Grand Prix

Yesterday saw Will Funnell from Dorking, Surrey with Billy Stud’s 14 year-old brown stallion Billy Congo finish in third place in the CSI 4* 1.55m €92,000 Grand Prix in Samorin, Slovakia.
Out of the starting field of thirty-nine starters, only six combinations made it through to the final jump off where four treble clears were produced. The win was taken by Germany's David Will partnering Mic Mac du Tillard after they produced the fastest treble clear of the class in 42.85 seconds.
Dutch rider Marc Houtzager on board Sterrehof's Uppity finished in second place after producing their treble clear, crossing the finish line in 43.86 seconds.
Will and Billy Congo secured third place after producing their treble clear in a time of 44.57 seconds finishing ahead of Belgium’s Kevin Gielen with Captain and Germany’s Manfred Marschall with Undercontract.
