Victory for Ami in the Equissage Discovery second round.
Wednesday 29 June 2011

Wiltshire area show held at Sells Green hosted an Equissage Discovery second round last weekend. With twenty four starters there was only one Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival Qualification Ticket up for grabs.
Nine combinations made it in to the first jump off with five of those jumping clear again to fight it out for the sole qualification. Drawn first to go in the jump off was nineteen year old Grace Collister from Hampshire. Grace was riding her own seven year old bay gelding who jumped clear in a time of 48.37 seconds. Although the time was beatable the competitors that followed struggled to keep the fences up.
However it was Oxfordshire based Ami Measor from second last draw that took the win. Riding Jane Dexter’s nine year old black gelding Victory II Ami wasn’t going to leave anything to chance, jumping a quick clear in a time of 41.47 seconds taking the Cushionbed British Showjumping Scope Festival Qualification and pushing Grace into second position.
