Monday 22 July 2013

The Tri-Zone Airlite Senior Discovery Regional Finals continued at Kingswood Equestrian Centre in Albrighton, Wolverhampton on Sunday 21st July 2013. The regional final proved to be popular with competitors, attracting a total of 63 starters.
Of all the starters, twenty-five combinations made it through into the final jump off and a fantastic total of twenty-one combinations then went on to produce the treble clear required to qualify for the Tri-Zone Airlite Senior Discovery Championship Final, which will be held at the Alexanders Horseboxes British Showjumping Scope Festival (25th – 31st August 2013).
The win was taken by 45 year-old Derek Morton from Stone, Staffordshire and he produced the win on board Kimgarwyn Archiebold, a 6 year-old chestnut gelding owned by Brian Squire. The combination produced the only sub 34.00 seconds treble clear to eventually stop the clock on 33.78 seconds.
